Born in Cali, Colombia now based in Brooklyn, recording & mixing engineer Carlos Mora attended Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA and Full Sail University in Orlando, FL. Carlos started working at the legendary Power Station/Avatar Studios and The DiMenna Center for Classical Music in 2016 in New York City. Having the unique experience to learn, assist, and work with the most talented and experienced recording engineers and producers in the industry such as Alex Venguer, James Farber, Roy Hendrickson, Isaiah Abolin, Kevin Killen, Lawrence Manchester, Manfred Eicher and Gregg Wattenberg.
As an engineer/assistant, he has worked with artists including Béla Fleck, Larry Grenadier, Bette Midler, Loudon Wainwright III, Grégoire Maret, Brooklyn Rider, Johnny Gandelsman, Counting Crows, Jon Batiste, Cécile McLorin Salvant, O.A.R, Evaride, Marc Roberge, Fivio Foreign, Daddy Yankee and many Broadway Cast Recordings including "A Bronx Tale", "God Bless You, Mr. Rosewater" and the four times Tony award winning and Grammy nominated "Hello, Dolly!".
His talents are not limited to producing, recording and mixing music. Carlos is also experienced and comfortable writing and composing music for TV and film. He has composed the music for various short films which have been nominated in a wide variety of national and international film festivals such as " Los Angeles Cine Fest" and "Miami Independent Film Festival."
